TAX MANAGER:

 

Great opportunity for a Tax Manager/CPA to work in a well established CPA firm in Westwood.

We are a full service public accounting firm with over 25 years experience providing bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparation services.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

  • CPA/Tax manager will review and/or prepare tax returns (Corporation, Partnership and Individual).
  • We are looking for someone who can also take on a managerial role and supervise/oversee/review the work of other staff accountants.
  • The position is full-time with great benefits (health insurance, retirement, etc.).
  • The tax manager will be a key participant in the tax strategy, compliance and accounting activities of the organization.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter and have the ability to manage and complete multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Public Accounting (BS in Accounting).
  • Corporation, Partnership and Individual tax preparation and review.
  • Strong technical tax preparation and review skills (LACERTE / Practice CS knowledge is a plus).
  • Tax Audit Representation experience
  • Must have excellent computer skills (Quickbooks & Microsoft office programs).
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize/multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with staff members of diverse accounting background.
  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An exceptional work-ethic.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

 

Great opportunity for Office Administrator to work in a well established CPA firm in Westwood.

We are a full service public accounting firm with over 25 years experience providing bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparation services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Billing and collection.
  2. General office duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, copying, mailing, etc.
  3. Perform check deposits, wire transfer and credit card payments.
  4. Planning & coordinating of various business functions.
  5. Responsible for keeping an organized calendar of appointments & events of managing partner.
  6. Maintain office calendar to coordinate work flow and meetings.
  7. Prepare engagement letters and various correspondences.
  8. Answer phone calls and transfer to appropriate staff member, answer questions, or address concerns of caller.
  9. Other duties as assigned by partners/managers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in general office responsibilities and procedures, preferably with a CPA firm.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration.
  • Must have good computer skills (Microsoft Office programs)
  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An exceptional work-ethic.
  • Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team
